Local and international studies

FADR is supporting local and international polls or market studies that reflect our vision on issues related to diabetes services, legal provisions, access to medication, etc.

The IDF Europe summer camp

In 2014 FADR will propose to the Romanian Federation of Diabetes endorsing a number of candidates for the camp. More information about this year's camp may be found here. In 2013 the IDF Europe summer camp was hosted in Tirrenia, Italy. The previous two camps (2011 and 2012) were greately recommended by the participants and their families.

The DiaEuro football championship

The Dia Euro football championship was hosted in 2013 by Croatia. Romania registered its team and finished the sixth. The competition was won by the Hungarian team. Portugal, Croatia and Poland finished the second, third and the forth. New regulations are to be developed and approved, in order to make the enlisting process more structured and to offer more games during the championship. Pictures of the Romanian participation to the competition are posted here

The 2015 Championship was organized in Cluj Napoca, Romania. The Romanian team won for the second time the championship. We may say that this year the quality of the games and the participation was higher then ever. For more details about the Championship (including photos and comments) please visit the DiaEuro Facebook site [link]

We wish to express our gratitude to the team members, to the staff that made possible this achivement and to the partners and sposors that supported this project (Accu-Chek, Woerwag, Neurodiab, Sanofi and the Romanian Federation of Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases).

In 2016, Bosnia-Herzegovina that hosted DiaEuro won the tournement.

The IDF Young Leaders in Diabetes training

For the 2013 training session offered by IDF, FADR selected and asked for the endorsement for two of its members. The supported candidates were registered for the YLD sessions. Their reports may be seen in the Romanian version of the web page here

Crossborder coorperation

The Federation started working with two lay organizations from Moldova and Serbia. In 2012 representatives of these organizations participated to the Congress of the Romanian Federation of Diabetes and we provided support for a number of projects that are to be implemented in these countries. For this year Congress of the Federation, we will continue to invite friends from out of the country to participate.
